Safari Itenrary
Day 1: Transfer to Kitgum/Gulu
Your adventure begins early at 7:00 am, with a drive to Gulu, taking approximately 7-8 hours. En route, you will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for about 2-3 hours for an exciting rhino trekking experience. After enjoying lunch, continue to Gulu, arriving by late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Churchill Hotel Gulu.
Day 2: Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park – Game Drive
After breakfast, embark on a 3-hour drive to Kidepo Valley National Park. Once there, you will enjoy a game drive through Narus Valley, with opportunities to see buffalos, zebras, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and cheetahs. Capture the moment with as many photo stops as you like. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Nga Moru Wilderness Camp (mid-range) or Kidepo Savannah Lodge – tents (budget).
Day 3: Game Drive and Cultural Tour
Start the day with breakfast and another thrilling game drive through the diverse landscapes of savannah, rocky outcrops, forests, and mountains, reaching Kanangorok Hot Springs. Look out for lions and other wildlife. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in a cultural tour with the Karamojong people, who live traditionally and are known for their unique lifestyle and customs. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Final Game Drive and Transfer to Gulu
After breakfast, check out and go on your last game drive in Kidepo Valley National Park. Each drive offers new and exciting wildlife sightings. Then, travel back to Gulu, where you will have lunch and relax for the rest of the day. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Churchill Hotel Gulu.
Day 5: Return to Kampala and Departure
Begin the final day with an early breakfast before heading back to Kampala. Enjoy lunch en route and arrive in the late afternoon. You will be transferred to Entebbe Airport for your departure flight or dropped off at your hotel in either Entebbe or Kampala.
